The exhibition comprised 27 paintings produced between March 2010 – November 2011.
The title 'Interlacing', refers to works which explore a major area of interest, the relationship between abstraction and realism.

My interpretation of interlacing in this context is: a state of transition where the convergence of disparate elements alternating in rapid succession, creates the appearance of a seamless continuity.

... a process involving the transmission and reception of visual stimuli from antithetic sources, much like a strobe or frames from a movie or the refresh pattern of video...

I attempt to exploit an inherent instability between content and form, between the 'thing' and its representation.

My paintings offer play between two semantic positions of assembly and disassembly.
